Kos is a Norwegian word that loosely translates to ‘simple moments of joy’ and it’s at the heart of everything we do at Torill’s Table.
Kos (pronounced ‘kuus’) is about the warm feelings we get in those quiet moments, curled up under a cozy blanket with a good book, or the comfort of being in the presence of family and friends, surrounded by wholesome, delicious food, with a blazing fireplace nearby.
Creating Kos is an integral part of Norwegian culture and it’s something that Torill’s Table wants to bring into your home. Founder Torill Myre wants to help you and your family experience Kos-filled moments and memories similar to the ones she cherishes from her own childhood.
As a mother of three boys, Torill created Kos in her own home by bringing her family together around the table to enjoy good food and good company. And family is what Torill’s Table is all about.
